A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, is set to unveil a comprehensive development blueprint as part of preparations for the 2027 Adamawa State governorship election.

KANO FOCUS reports that the policy document, titled “A.D.A.M.A.W.A First Agenda,” will be presented on April 25 at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in Jimeta–Yola, where Haske is also expected to formally declare his intention to contest the race.

According to a statement issued by his publicity secretary, Abdulgaffar Ahmed, on Friday said, the agenda is designed to build on the socio-economic foundations laid by the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while introducing a citizen-focused approach aimed at inclusive growth and sustainable development.

The blueprint is anchored on seven key pillars, including agriculture and agro-industry, infrastructure development, social services, youth inclusion, governance, wealth creation, and security.

Under the agriculture component, Haske plans to reposition the sector through mechanisation, value chain development, agro-processing, and expanded market access, with the goal of transforming Adamawa into a leading agro-industrial hub.

The infrastructure plan prioritises investments in roads, water supply, energy, digital connectivity, and environmental protection to enhance service delivery and link communities to economic opportunities.

In the area of social development, the agenda emphasises improved access to quality education and affordable healthcare, with a focus on inclusivity across communities.

Youth empowerment also features prominently, with proposals aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, job creation, and skills development.

The governance pillar highlights transparency, accountability, and equitable resource distribution, while the wealth creation strategy focuses on attracting investment and expanding access to finance across the state’s 21 local government areas.

Security is identified as a critical priority to ensure safe farming, trading, and peaceful coexistence.

Haske was quoted as saying that the agenda reflects his commitment to people-centred governance and inclusive development, stressing that the state’s greatest asset lies in its people, particularly the youth.

The statement also highlighted his previous community-based interventions through the Haske Foundation, including support for education, youth and women entrepreneurship, and assistance to vulnerable groups.

Political observers say the unveiling of the agenda marks the beginning of Haske’s broader engagement with stakeholders as the 2027 governorship race in Adamawa State gradually gathers momentum.
